Privacy Policy

In general, the law protects the confidentiality of all communications between a client and psychotherapist. No information is disclosed without prior written permission from the client.

 

However, there are exceptions:

 

I am required by law to report within 48 hours to the appropriate authorities suspected child abuse, dependent adult or elder abuse. 

 

• By law, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim if a client threatens serious bodily harm to another person/s.

 

• If a client intends to harm himself or herself the therapist will make every effort to work with the individual to ensure their safety. However, if an individual does not cooperate, additional measures may need to be taken.

• I am obligated by law to ensure the safety of a client if he, she or they intend to harm themselves. I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation to ensure their safety, but if they do not cooperate, I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure their safety.

Cancellation Agreement

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment I ask that you please call 48 hours in advance to reschedule. If we don’t hear from you two days before your appointment, unless I am able to fill your time slot you will be charged for the full cost of the session. Please know that I will make every effort to fill your spot with another client.

 

Consultation

I am available for consultation to clinicians seeking guidance for their work with clients experiencing intimate partner violence or a traumatic event. I provide in-service education and trainings to your clinical group or agency regarding domestic violence, strangulation, trauma treatment, narcissistic abuse recovery, grief and loss.

 

Rates

Cash, check, Venmo or Zelle accepted. Payment is due on the day of service unless other arrangements with the provider have been agreed to in writing. Please contact provider for rates.
